University Hospitals Council at Capital University (formerly Helwan University) Holds a Memorial Ceremony for the Former Director of Badr University Hospital, Dr. Mohamed Hussein Fadel

In recognition of its distinguished medical figures, and during a meeting of the University Hospitals Council at Capital University (formerly Helwan University), the Council commenced its proceedings with a memorial ceremony honoring the late Dr. Mohamed Hussein Fadel, former Director of Badr University Hospital, in appreciation of his sincere efforts and valuable contributions to the development of medical and administrative performance within the university hospitals.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University, members of the late doctor’s family, and senior leaders of the medical sector. The session began with a moment of silence in honor of the late Dr. Fadel, followed by tribute speeches highlighting his scientific stature, humanitarian values, and his significant role in advancing performance at Badr University Hospital.
Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil praised the honorable legacy of the late Dr. Fadel, emphasizing that he was a role model of dedication and commitment, leaving a clear and lasting impact on the development of healthcare services through his outstanding scientific and human competencies.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Rasha Omar Refaie, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairperson of the Board of University Hospitals, affirmed that Dr. Mohamed Hussein Fadel was one of the most distinguished medical leaders, whose efforts greatly contributed to strengthening the healthcare system. She noted that his professional journey will remain a shining landmark in the history of the university hospitals.
In a gesture of appreciation, the University Hospitals Administration presented a commemorative shield in honor of the late Dr. Fadel. It was also decided to name the University Hospitals Council Hall after him, in recognition of his remarkable contributions and in tribute to his enduring legacy.
Following the memorial ceremony, the Council discussed several key topics related to work and development plans for the upcoming period, emphasizing adherence to quality and accreditation standards, as well as providing the necessary human resources and medical equipment to enhance the level of healthcare services provided.
Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil also reviewed the University’s future plans for developing the medical sector, noting the significant progress achieved in recent years and the developments planned for the coming period in conjunction with the University’s name change to Capital University, the celebration of its Golden Jubilee, and the launch of the initiative titled “From Here the Story Began”, which aims to highlight the University’s fifty-year legacy of excellence in science, arts, and technology.
