Medical students shine in the Ideal Student Competition

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Waleed El-Sorougi, Vice President of the University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rasha Refaie, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, our medical students have achieved an outstanding feat by winning top honors in the university-wide Ideal Student Competition.

Kirlos Iskandar secured first place in the male category, while Lojain Mohamed claimed the top spot in the female category, captivating the judges with their exceptional abilities and achievements.

Kirlos Iskandar, a passionate scholar and researcher, has garnered numerous accolades, including graduating with honors from the University of the People in the United States, completing a fully-funded psychiatry training program in Germany, and authoring two books and over 30 research articles in prestigious journals (Q2 &Q3).

Lojain Mohamed is a role model for her dedication to both academics and community service. She has achieved remarkable feats, such as memorizing the entire Holy Quran with proper recitation. attaining a high score in the IELTS exam (score: 7.5), an advanced level in the Japanese language (N3), and actively contributing to the Risala Volunteer Association. She is enrolled in Abu Bakr House for Quran memorization.

These students are a source of pride for our faculty and an inspiration to their peers.
