Badr University Hospital Celebrates World Environment Day

As part of our ongoing commitment to achieving sustainability standards and implementing responsible environmental practices, Badr University Hospital celebrated World Environment Day.

The events were held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Rasha Refaie, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairperson of the Hospitals’ Board of Directors. The celebration was attended by Prof. Dr. Wael Omar, Executive Director of Capital University Hospitals; Prof. Dr. Karim Montaser, General Manager of the Hospital; and Dr. Mohamed Al-Khawass, Deputy Director for Medical Affairs.

The day's activities featured various environmental initiatives aimed at promoting awareness about the importance of resource conservation, fostering a culture of recycling, and working together to ensure a safe and healthy environment within the hospital premises. These efforts reflect our responsible role toward both the environment and society.

Furthermore, different departments actively contributed with outstanding efforts. The initiatives were not merely general activities; rather, each department added its unique touch, reflecting teamwork and integration within the hospital. The Afforestation Department planted new trees in the courtyards and entrances, while the Infection Control Department organized an awareness campaign on waste segregation (medical, paper, plastic, and glass) featuring attractively designed educational posters. Additionally, the Nursing Team created innovative handmade crafts to raise awareness about water conservation and environmental protection
