A Workshop on Basic Practical Skills in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department – Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rasha Refai, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Samah Bastawy, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and organized by Prof. Dr. Hossam Abdel-Meguid, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a workshop entitled "Basic Practical Skills in Obstetrics and Gynecology" was held.

The workshop targeted resident and internship physicians in the department. Faculty members and the teaching assistants of the department also participated in organizing the event. The day included several fundamental lectures in obstetrics and gynecology, in addition to hands-on training in essential clinical skills.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of Badr University Hospital and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to providing high-caliber medical education and skill development opportunities. The goal is to ensure that trainees are fully equipped to meet the evolving demands and advancements of the modern healthcare landscape.  Attendees expressed their appreciation for the clarity, structure, and accessibility of the training, and emphasized their desire to see similar workshops held regularly.

Prof. Dr. Rasha Refai, Dean of the Faculty, praised the organization of the workshop and expressed her desire for the continuation of such activities at Badr University Hospital, recognizing their effective and impactful role in preparing highly qualified medical professionals from the Faculty of Medicine – Helwan University.
