Introduction

Graduating from a university institution and obtaining an academic degree represents an important stage in a person's life. It marks the beginning of a new life for the graduate, who strives to establish it by relying on the knowledge, experiences, and expertise they have gained, both in academic and practical fields.

Based on this, and in belief of the role and importance of graduates in building and developing society, and in working for the prosperity of their country's future, one of our priorities was the establishment of the "Graduate Follow-up Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University" as one of the college's units with administrative affiliation. The unit aims to foster a sense of communication between the graduate and their college, prepare them for healthcare market requirements, and also allow graduates the right to stay informed about their college’s activities and participate in them to develop and support it. Additionally, the college has the right to organize its graduates in their professional lives and roles, benefiting from their practical and scientific experiences.

The Graduate Follow-up Unit is one of the departments within the organizational structure of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector. Approval for the formation of the Graduate Follow-up Unit was granted by the Community Service and Environmental Development Council at the Faculty of Medicine, Helwan University, during its eleventh meeting in the academic year 2018/2019, held on June 23, 2019.
