About the unit

The Ministry of Higher Education is concerned with utilizing information and communication technologies to enhance the educational, research, and administrative capabilities of the higher education and scientific research system. It also works on updating scientific and training programs, curricula, and teaching methods, as well as introducing new patterns of education and training that align with global developments and meet the increasing demand for higher education.

This requires leveraging information resources and digital content, while enhancing the capacities and skills of the academic and administrative staff in higher education and scientific research institutions to effectively engage with information and communication technologies and multimedia.

The Unit for E-Learning and Information Technology serves as a crucial link in implementing the project plans submitted by the ICTP at the college level.

Vision

The E-learning and Information Technology Unit seeks to provide E-learning and electronic services to students, faculty members, and staff at the college, and to cooperate with the university, the Ministry of Higher Education, and the Supreme Council of Universities to implement digital transformation policies at the college.

Mission

The unit seeks to manage the transition to diverse digital and electronic systems to enhance institutional capacity in terms of efficiency at all levels. It also aims to support faculty members, students, and staff by providing diverse E-learning and technological services, consultations, and training in the field of technology inside and outside the college. The unit contributes to E-learning and technological development in the field of educational administration, education, learning, and scientific research, targeting the enhancement of E-learning and technological efficiency in all fields within the college and the university, and competing locally, regionally, and globally considering quality standards for the educational process.

The unit provides an easy E-learning and technological environment that meets the needs of students, researchers, and all staff at the college and offers experience, technical and technical support in the field of e-learning, and cooperation with educational institutions at the local, regional, and international levels.

The mission is achieved through commitment to global standards of excellence in e-learning, scientific research, and community service.

Work Policy for the E-Learning and Information Technology Unit

Six axes:

Manage and enhance the efficiency of the learning management system, Thinqi.

Manage Microsoft website.

Support units, committees, and controls at the college.

Activate and enhance the efficiency of the faculty websites.

Train and provide technical support to faculty members and students at the Faculty of Medicine.

Communicate with the Scientific Computation Center to implement digital transformation projects.
